Filling
shapes to represent depth of cut

|
- Choose the Hatch
tool from the left hand toolbar
- In the settings dialogue set Fill... to Solid fill and
choose a colour to represent the depth of cut you require for your
first cut out (click on Col...)
- IMPORTANT Select a colour only from the 16 Custom
colours at the bottom if the Fill Colour dialog
- When you select OK the pointer will change to the finger
pointer
- Point to the edge of a shape you wish to fill with this colour -
when prompted for Any islands? select No
- Continue filling your cut outs using a different colour for each
different depth of cut that you require
- WARNING If you use the wrong colour for any shape DO NOT
refill with another colour, this will cause the milling software to
waste machining time
- Instead, you must select the shape that has been incorrectly filled
(use the Pick tool to select) and change the fill colour using Attributes
> Fill colour from the Edit menu
